Condolence message to the family, in-laws and friends of our beloved father late Lt.Gen Elijah Malok Aleng Mayen
Bor community Youth Association (BCYA) on behalf of its members and entire Bor community share deepest sympathies and sorrow with family, in-laws, and friends of late Father Lt.Gen Elijah Malok who passed away on 30th October 2014 and whose his funeral rite is taking place today the 6th November 2014. When we lose a loved one here on earth, we gain an angel in heaven that watches over us. May you take comfort in knowing that you have an angel to watch over you now.
Late Elijah’s contributions in south Sudanese struggle before, during and after south Sudan independent will always be remembered, he was like a father to our SPLM/A leaders in his elderly and skillful advises during long civil war which made him to be so close to many senior SPLM/A leaders and above all, our late leader Dr.John Garang who considered his facilitation very vital for the survival of the movement which was justified in all the Negotiations where SPLM was a party, Elijah was always a secretary of SPLM in those discussions due to his technical skills on politics as veteran politician.
Elijah’s death as a senior Economist has created a vacuum in economic field where he served his nation with ease due to the knowledge he had in that area and also a vacuum in the great Bor communities ( Bor, Twic and Duk counties) because he was well experienced in socioeconomic and cultural set up of Bor counties and how this set has kept our unity in diversity for years. Your openness, truthfulness honesty and courageousness will greatly be missed by our communities. To the family, in-laws and friends, A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on. Please accept our condolences, he will not be forgotten. May his soul rest in peace.
