Response to the “Condemnation of Lith Payam Omission in the Map of South Sudan”
Response to Bol Garang’s Article: “Condemnation of Lith Payam Omission in the Map of South Sudan”
By Deng Daniel, Australia
Hi there! your argument is ok by you, but it could be invalid in all sense because of your previous choice to follow or join Twic permanently, I mean just Twic with no east, or Ajuong Payam, please be critical in your writing that you should analysis some of the facts behind the recent South Sudan irrational changes in politics nationally, don’t ever bother in minor things within or at local level, we are not in Libya, Bagdad or middle east if you like, these are the places where people murder, kill, rape, kidnap, abduct their own community members or the like thinking they are sending message to the federal government, that is a dream, the government would only say like they condemn the incident but they would not come out and look into your local case at Lith, so forget brother, if you really want to send the message of Lith to the Government, then go to your local government venues and shoot them, not the Lith civilians, because your mentality is worth modern action of governance in the urban place not in the village where people need food, shelter, cattle and may be nursery schools. you raise a good case but it lack some global knowledge of society components and their well-being outside Juba orientation.
so please join either of the forces, Riek’s force or Kiir’s force or get scared, confuse, silent or escape for good if your are in sudan, or I got an alternative option, think of remaining in Twic or join Kongor District. unfortunately, I am not certain but sure that I know recently that the boat has left the sea or river port carrying only kongors for kongor district out of twic and left you those of Adiok and Abek with twic (Ajuong) which is geographically odd, the boat is not returning for someone who is not either kongor or twic. nevertheless, your point will not bother the politician in juba and all over the world including me who mind local peace ever within state level, believe me, being Dinka is not enough currently for us especially Dinka-Bor, we and bahr el gazal are deemed too far apart, in 20 years to come we will be like those of Turkana and Taposa despite their nationalities, I suppose you understand this, if you don’t, then reserve it and ask me in twenty if in God plan for us to last that long. so my brother, local peace is good but your problem here is that you are not patient enough to wait for the current war between Bahe el gazal and Nuer plus few other hostile Dinka Ministers who didn’t had enough from previous John Garang’s war with Arabs. Lith Payam has no place to discourse about at this juncture because it is totally out of anyone attention or concern to look at , unless you find them separate salaries to file your case as a new suspected and intended invasion of the villages within Jonglei State.
However, my view, let me assist you by recommending that those of Adhiok and Abek has been silence for too long and tried hard to extent a long line for Twic (east) for quite a number of years absolutely they don’t need it at all if they were kin in their own sake to be so called Lith, Now it is a little too late to re-migrate from twic east or what ever identity of Ajuong payam to establish Lith were Kongor is longer part of it, Because they (Kongors) are switching from oil dependent to other sustainable green energy which is unprecedented to be friendly.
finally, I wishes you the best, it could take your proposal 30 plus years to receives hope for re-allocation or restatement of LITH into the Map with the condition that you Adhiok and Abek must adhere peace and prosperity in you first before you bother others who will not inhered anything from future possible results of this claim, just don’t give up because it says “seek and you will find, nock and it will be open, ask and it will be given” (Bible). my only worry in your case personally is that who is representing your problem? and how will your problem be presented? and what is the problem?.
having said these, people are govern through “problematisation”. where will your problem presenters get knowledge from? at least they got power I would say, but no knowledge because knowledge is the power not power is the knowledge, I hope you will glean something out of my advisory article.
Warning!! don’t ever mention in you next message what is happening in Lake State, that is just as God punishment for what their national government is doing, they deserve this in the first place, imagine dogs rallying in the street of state capital eaten 9 people and critically injured hundredth in a minute, is that what you want for Lith to go for in their own region amongst their own people. it is unusual in history facing such situations like that, it would not happen in Bor ever I hope God is great !!. peace only come through government proposal not rebels, this is what the Juba government or else must understand in politics. rebels are there for fight to last if you can remember our last war with Arab, CPA was the last episode and it was the initiative made by Garang to have peace with Riek such that Arab remain alone and probably they accept peace because Southerners had united limiting their momentum to fight because they were using Southerners to fight themselves —————! just analyse this for me in depth and you will find the assumed truth in it before creating your new conflict for unknown nick-name as Lith. don’t fight for name but fight for people in your local area about poverty of all sorts “not name missing in the map are such a problem”!.
