President Salva Kiir is Right not to Violate the Constitution Regarding VP Wani Igga
By Mabile James
February 8, 2015 (SSB) — I’m quiet glad to hear the lattest presidential remarks in his capacity to outline the transparency of the national constitution, to inform the people of South Sudan, the IGAD and the so-called international body, that he as the chairman of the ruling SPLM party, doesn’t have rights to violate the principles laid down by the Constitution….
Thus, the recent peace deal inked by the political rivals of the SPLM,which provides the reinstatement of Riek Machar into his former position as Vice President,is an absolute violation of the national laws that are clearly spelled out in the constitution.
So,i would wish to inform the general public that the government is very vast, and that it can accomodate the rebel leader Mr.Machar wherever it wishes him to be,but not to the expense of him, replacing the incumbent VP James Wani Igga. This would definitely be an unconstitutional move, should the proposal endeavors to materialise.
However,if he Machar, has got some senses,a functioning brain and exactly wishes peace to prevail in the country, then he should drop all his nonsensical ideas and preconditions he has been asking for. If the rebellion has become svmthing habitual to him.
He doesn’t have to be rewarded at all costs. For how long will he continue to enjoy the privileges of his insurgency? Let alone the people choose who they want, period!
Moreover,I don’t think the President of the Republic, H.E. Salva Kiir Mayardit, should consider the pessimistic shouts, pressures, threats and disheartening calls for sanctions, from the IGAD, the Troika states and the UN which are entirely meant to put our youngest nation into complete failure and devastation…
We’re very independent, sovereign and some kind of a perfect nation that doesn’t wish to accept an imposition of crooked ideaologies based on economic interests of the Western countries.
My dear West, if you are deceived by Riek Machar that he would allow you to accomodate your interests and economic wishes in South Sudan if supposedly he manages to oust President Kiir from the SPLM chairmanship, then i’m sorry to mention that none of your deals would one day come to materialise.
You have wasted your weapons in support of Mr. Machar for no cause. I’m fed up with the West, and if i could manage within my capacity, i would get rid of the Troika embassies in South Sudan.
However, all the deals brokered by IGAD during this civil war have got alot of influence from the Troika states, given the events in which Machar’s preconditions have usually been positive in their eyes, probably all have been prioritised.
What a hell! Nevertheless, the gov’t of president Kiir has to maintain its steadfastness in readying itself for any step taken by the SPLM-IO,peaceful or hostile, matter not.
It’s upto Machar to make a decision if he wishes……to either remain in the bush or be subjected to any offer given by the gov’t,as far as the idea of achieving a permanent peaceful solution to end the 13months old conflict is concerned…..
Machar should avoid thinking about Vice Presidency,he’s got no reputation,no legitimacy and no more room for
him.
