PEACE IS CRYING

At the stadium we gathered,
People crying out joy as our nation won,
Won a battle that would shelter peace forever,
It was in the fourties(40s) i recall,
Feeling the cooling breeze as it blew,
Seeing the glowing eyes of happy children,
Oh! my soul was at peace.
And from a far peace was crying……
–
Others never embraced peace,
Instead they befriended malice in hearts,
Awaking each day,malice slowly poisoning,
And a day came, that it conquered their hearts,
And it all begun again, WAR!!!
The air smelled like death,
And trees offered to be coffins instead,
For they could not withstand the sight,
And from a far peace was crying……
–
But it called a congregation,
And read aloud its speech,
And within the contents change was needed,
Touching to the deepest of souls,
And aloud the people said,
Peace,peace,peace for all..
