Failure to win SSSAK’s election was in this manner!
By Sunday de John, Nairobi, Kenya
July 14, 2015 (SSB) — When South Sudanese Students’ Association in Kenya election was conducted in Nairobi, I took part and then together with sister Ayen Marial, we democratically loss the contest in favor of Mr. Deng Bol.
With respect I would like to congratulate the winners. As well, I congratulate Ayen Marial for accepting the defeat just as I did with rejoinder that she is my good sister. Too, I have to congratulate the electoral commission.
After this, I extend my gratitude to my strong campaign team with my co-managers in the persons of Agany Mach and Ayuel Madut not to forget my spokesman Mr. Mapuor Makur.
The cogs in my wheels were the likes of Marial Turic, Maker Thiangkol, Yath Majak, Makur Lat, Kuocrot Alam, Matiop de Guor; cool lobbyist in person of Achuol and the list is long. I am delighted to have you all in my powerful team. Congratulations for a job well done. You have been trekking deep valleys of the Rift Valley in my support.
To my team, the Comrades United, it was a tremendous trial and even when we failed to win, we were the center of focus. In fact, two issues disfigured my quest for leadership; home tussles generated by members of my immediate society and my loyalty to the republic of the South Sudan.
Serious gossips where employed with increased efforts two years before recent elections. This had to happen because members of my society bowed and vowed not to see me winning anything in life. The unbelievable pathological gossipers decided to keep on telling lies of magnificent quality about me to whoever would listen to them. They weren’t talking for me, they had in length talked about me to strangers and South Sudanese alike with financial support from the base where the mint mints hot money.
They went on telling uncalled for tales about me until when the process got marred with myriad of unreliable facts or call them confabulations in confusion of the potential voters. They sabered all around, spending sleepless night to effect the mechanisms of achieving their goal.
Conceitedly, they called me a golden boy of the government in the camps where they think government doesn’t sale and in others they referred to me as a rebel just to discredit me in the process.
The naysayers christened me. They also ransacked the voting community by telling them unreliable facts. They propagandized to the acknowledgement of important voters that they were telling the truth by mentioning that I was arrogant, greedy, glutton and all those other adjectives that seem hard to type. They went on through Facebook pages of close relatives abroad to call me a failure. I have failed to work as a watchman and that isn’t the end of my life.
Out of stupefaction, they through their familial gossiping ability, depicted me as a man not to be reckoned with, one that has no leadership ability, a servant of their uncle, somebody who has not amassed wealth, a poor boy with few cows and no wife and especially the boy they would see dying before he dominates the political stage. They had wishes of sending me off South Sudan when possible.
Allegedly, they are the most successful, educated even when some of them possess purchased educational certificates; they are the wealthy although with invisible wealth. Up to here, they haven’t been short of grandiosity! Their fanatic abroad calls me irresponsible; I would say his statement in itself is irresponsible. He is abroad, yes and that isn’t being responsible, simply one can be a gateman in Africa. Let me know if you are taking your responsibilities? I don’t know your concern here besides nepotism but you aren’t doing anything to yourself. You know what I mean.
Silence on these would reflect an acknowledgement that naysayers are right, I must not feign deafness and I should arrest humility temporarily. In response, South Sudanese who know who Sunday de John is will answer the insults leveled against him only adequately.
However, I must in parts, respond to some of the claims here by commencing with this appraisal that everything sweet comes through sweat. It is their claimed right in the pursuit for grand goal to discredit me, but they must as well accept my right to respond. To pinpoint on this, I would say those are naysaying by mere naysayers. The naysayers must accept although very bitter that they have nowhere to take me. I am a South Sudanese from Lakes state, Yirol East County and of Malek Payam whether you like it or not that is my home.
Next is that of wealth, I am not wealthy, I can’t claim my father’s wealth leave alone the one of my future in-laws, my reasons behind lack of wealth are attributed to my commitment to education. I cannot afford to buy a certificate and that is why I am a student struggling to achieve my desire goal and so real students do not have time to accrue wealth and go to school simultaneously. If you have wealth while at school, then it is a blessing.
As well, I do not have wealth because I don’t have my personal mint, and as a loyal citizen, I cannot print my own money parallel to that of the nation. My brothers Ayiei Butic, Deng Alier, Nurren Alier, Malual Alier, Makur de John, Makok de John and all those other innocent ones have not accrued any dirty wealth for us and proudly, I can brag that I believe in them, their little abilities and perhaps we shall grow together as loyal citizens. We are poor but proudly innocent and peaceful in minds. Our conscience is free of quilt. However, I do not have a problem with somebody’s wealth, it becomes a problem only when that wealth is being wrongly used to discredit me. It is then when I shall be prompted to question the source.
As to lack of wife, it is a personal choice and not as a result of cost, through Harambee I can get one, I think more beautiful one. Nevertheless, I would also say that I do have few cows not as many as your purported ones because thieves have stolen them and you are my witnesses.
You should be informed that I have no time to respond to you through gossiping, but take it here that my lack of wealth is that I do not want to sell my dignity to the highest bidders. It is my humble submission that you should be informed that your quest to discredit me has aged and so I should in a small way retort to your naysaying by telling you singly and as a family that your interest on using other people as ladders to climb high isn’t compatible with me and so let me tell you that your unsubstantiated cleanliness isn’t real.
You have committed many unworthy crimes including delinquencies suitable to be called robberies, the unbuttered ostensible crimes of lying and more so, lying to the entire nation by faking wealth through your rusty money minted not where South Sudanese pounds is minted.
I shouldn’t fail to mention that Malek Payam of Yirol East is a home to shrewd people of positive mental attitudes characterized by unmatched integrity. There are youth of high quality and ability in all aspects. This great prospect of goodness has been shadowed by huge chunks of unrestrained gossipers. They have two strengths in form of gossiping and minted money so that they use the former to discredit the innocent sons and daughters of the territory and the later to recruit more gossipers and naysayers into their camp to claim the audibility of their confabulations.
You have been telling me indirectly that I should state clear facts about you; luckily this is the platform on which you shall be generously and adequately given what you deserve. I cannot volunteer to gossip about gossipers, that isn’t my character but this piece serve to inform the gossipers, big or small that their gossips shall always be responded to here. Smaller psychopaths should note that whether they spend sleepless nights mulling over my degradation, they wouldn’t get their dream gifts because I have ceased to be their project.
Days of backbiting me and in turn get rewards from paymasters have gone. Stand up for yourselves. I can’t afford to withstand another year of vilification basing on lies. You have told people about me only in fabrication but here I am telling people that this is true you. Your respond shall be appreciated because it gives me one more chance.
Till then, yours truly, Mr. Teetotaler!
