60-DAY NOTICE TO PRESIDENT SALVA KIIR TO RESIGN IMMEDIATELY

President Kiir signs the IGAD peace deal in Juba, South Sudan, on 26 August 2015

Kiir now has 60 days to resign. Here are 3 most important reasons he must resign immediately:

1. The SPLA can no longer fight for a leader who is unwilling or unable to fight for the country or for himself. Kiir’s lethargic demeanor and his ever changing positions have been unbearable and can never be allowed to continue.

2. Kiir’s humiliation by the IGAD’s and his subsequent signing of the IGAD peace deal under pressure with “Reservation” proved his lack of judgement and underlined his weakness in the face of regional and international threats facing our nation.

3. Kiir’s inexcusable lack of visibility both at the local and international levels during these difficult times in our nation’s history dictates he must get out of the way and allow a full-time leader to take charge of country instead of a part-time leader that he has been.

We still love and respect you, Beny Kiir, but we have a greater responsibility for our country that can never be achieved under your weak leadership. You must resign by December 1, 2015 so that a trust worthy, patriotic SPLM-Juba successor can take over immediately.

The choice is yours ….we can either do it the easy way or the hard way, but it must get done.
