November 17, 2015 (SSB)  —  On 15th. Dec. 2013 thousands of South Sudanese losses their life in Juba fighting, Despite the ruthlessness of the regime, different  rebel groups have been formed and battling government, recruiting young boys in violent acts against the government that have seen a big number of South Sudanese loose lives at the expense of other people’s selfish interests. For instance of David Yau Yau, the chief administrator of Pibor and Johnson Oliny, who was been recruiting children under age of 13-14 years old.

As the African heads of the state tried to weight in hell, broke loose.

I personal was in Upper Nile state on 23rd. 2013 in the morning when first heard about the first bullet of rebel against government forces. On one side there was President Salva Kiir a man clinging on to power against his country’s constitution and on the other side was Dr. Riek Machar, a former vice president who has always wanted advantage of the situation and takes the country back to the coups and wars.

AJ pondered who among the two worse, my comrades from Dr. Machar side start celebrating on phone to me, this shocked me and it showed me how desperate we have become in detest of the leaders who put ambitions before the interests of the nation. To many the end (change of guard in South Sudan) justified the means of coup d’état.

This is where I differ South Sudanese has had a turbulent past since the independence struggle, the country has had assassination coup d’état and civil war but with that in mind behave what South Sudan and other countries on the continent badly need is not coup d’état but a peaceful transition of power to bring prosperity to the young nation that would build on the existing gains and not a violent rebellion that destroy the image of South Sudan future.

We know that your rebellion as we have seen will not automatically give rise to democracy. So the stress of rebuilding what was been destroyed during 21 months civil war will make it impossible to actualize the change, you cannot afford to misunderstand wanton destruction of innocent lives and properties as the rebellion or the change for the better that you need.

South Sudanese must be aware that every rebellion lays the foundation of its successes or failure by its nature, what it does and what it is ready to justify at its commencement. The tempest usually takes a few minutes to destroy what may take years to rebuild, therefore, every well meaning South Sudanese in particular should condemn the destruction of Dr. Machar, rebel groups burning houses, looting properties and the frying of innocent and helpless South Sudanese.

Why should a man or woman in South Sudan die simply because he/she from Dinka, Nuer Shilluk and others tribes? Which of the innocent victims of this chaos contributed to this war?

Why can’t we see that our behaviors and manner of thinking and what we are geared up to rationalize or do are the signs of our madness? No nation become great by consuming itself in violence and motiveless destruction of it infrastructure and the present disarray must to discontinue if we need to progress.

South Sudanese should have to think this and understand that this chaos is only benefits those who caused this problem in the first place it prevent the change we hope for from becoming reality, we know those who have been sharing South Sudan oil wealth in the name of subvention.

It is unfortunate that president Kiir did not prepare the people of South Sudan adequately for the implementation of policy and chose wrong time and circumstance to tackle one of the most unclear parts of South Sudan economy. He should now begin to put in place measures to pillow the effect of the removal of subvention and ensure that the money does not find its way into common pockets.

What we need is good leaders who seek power to make the country better for all and not to become rich with public resources; this is time to begin the search for the leader who will clean the stable of South Sudan politics, leader whose qualifications are character, vision and passion for change. It is not a time for ethnic champions who impersonate, a leader who will treat all parts of South Sudan fairly and uphold the constitution and respect the rule of law.

To eliminate political corruption, South Sudan needs to restore peace and stability among the communities; we tired of war. Enough is enough.
