There is no friend of the Revolution
When they smile, I see blood trickling down their faces; I see their insidious purposes; I see that the object of all their cajoling is—blood! I now warn my countrymen to beware of these execrable philosophers, whose only object it is to destroy everything that is good here, and to establish immorality and murder by precept and example—such men are evil-beware of them, said Edmund Burke

December 11, 2015 (SSB) — Revolution was described by Chinese former president chairman Mao Zedong as not a dinner party, nor essays, nor a painting, it cannot be so refined, so leisurely and gentle, so temperate, kind, courteous, restrained and magnanimous but is an insurrection, an act of violence by which one class overthrow another while corruption in the Wikipedia of Corruption Perception Index (CPI) described corruption as “the misuse of public power for private benefit.” However, both terms when one erupted, another will appear automatically.
Since 1983, the two events were more or less contemporaneous, with only months between them. Although there was discrimination from the Arab, still the few South Sudanese in power were mistreating their fellows. There was surely misuse of funds from very beginning. An activity that has been travelling with people in their minds for long distance that took 21 years till independent. There is no doubt that they have applied that same ideology deeply to rewards themselves.
Many prominent writers have flooded all websites shouted at the top of their lungs about corruption scandal. They have already put full description of all sorts of corruption such as bribery, cronyism, kleptocracy, economics of corruption, electoral fraud, legal plunder, nepotism, slush fund, plutocracy, political scandal among others.
Thanks them for taking the buffalo by its horn although we denied the facts. History too has had its fair share of disgusting evil men who were trusted to deliver services to the citizen and failed to accomplish the task in a fair manner.
The country stood on the brink of ruin. I agree with somebody who wrote that corruption was there even at the time of Jesus when his mother was put as the head of the women. So Dr. Riek Machar recently has also imitated it to become an automatic pilot on appointment of his own wife as head of the security and defense committee. Dr. Riek, a barefaced liar who claims for reform after his removal, something he did not do when he was in power because he was busy in looting of country resources. It has to be null and void but for the sake of peace, let’s move on.
To come back to the point, you may ask the evidences of corruption in South Sudan. My friend, have you not seen those expensive cars and buildings. Also what about medications? Those government officials used to go to China for treatment even malaria. Compare those luxurious things with individual salaries, you will find out the facts about corruption in South Sudan.
The existing laws covering corruption in this country are thought by many to be inadequate. Otherwise, the 75 officials identified would have been put behind bars but they were not arrested because it could surely have caused counter-argument since they would have revealed in the court that even their suppressors were not safe.
The Reform within the SPLM that caused December Revolution was just seen as the battle of wits where one group was trying hard to outwit the other. But in the really sense, 75 officials who were caught red-handed were the one pretending to make change when of course they were dirty in the eyes of the South Sudanese Citizen. Suppose they would have wait for populace to determine their fate all including the president.
I, in particularity say that we were all cheated in 2013 by the SPLM leaders. They MUST have made a secret meeting in different groups to agree on creation of problem because they have seen that they will be voted out of their offices soon. Who is then now the friend of revolution? It has brought destructions and it has made people run for refuge in other countries.
The huge money that would have gone for development is being used for military weapons and salaries for foreign forces. Corrupts official also have got another chance to corrupts public funds as much as their hands could carry, with perception that the rebels will shoulder it later on or simply the blame will be put on rebellion. So with such experiences, are we in support of rebellion?
No, the message here is simple; let us collectively join hands in support of peace for the country to overcome it backwardness and poverty. The proposition in the minds of all average South Sudanese is peace but not peace through the medium of war or conflict, not peace to be hunted through the labyrinth of intricate and endless negotiations as it has been happening, not peace to arise out of universal discord, it is simple peace, sought in its natural course and in its ordinary haunts.
Without peace, it’s surely means suffering of the average South Sudanese people which in turn will benefit only few individuals. Let there be peace in order for us to do our own businesses in a free environment but without peace, there is a danger ahead of us.
It is peace sought in the spirit of peace, and laid in principles purely not complicated. I know that dispute had reached an impasse, as neither side would compromise but the few writers and the entire citizen of the country push very hard for peace because our resources are looted extremely and our future is robbed off.
The few loquacious internet warriors who applauded the revolution that has really dilapidated the country are very people that their avarice fathers and godfathers feed and educate with looted money.
