Subjects: EQUAL OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL IN EASTERN LAKES STATE
Your Excellency, please permit me to make this an open letter.
February 24, 2016 (SSB) — I have to state clearly that we cast our votes for you during the referendum 2011 elections to become independent country south Sudan not because we totally believed in government of south Sudan we people of Aluakluak payam to bring the needed change to the people of south Sudan because, just like other people, in greater Yirol communities we should be given golden opportunity in all sectors of the government of the day I didn’t want the previous administration during the struggle for liberation in south Sudan in particular greater Yirol leadership to depending on individuals to remain in power and to be heard in all the decision making in the states and in the government.
On many occasions, your administration claimed to be transparent, accountable and have respect for the rule of law and yet denied us the major tool we need to access information and justify the true cooler of your administration while you are still in office.
Secondly, Sir, I wish to remind you some of your promises once ones you are given chances as a governor that is according your manifesto you have written read during campaign for gubernatorial positions and to know about your performance on each of the promises so far:
- Road: Your Excellency Sir, you promised to open up rural areas for our agricultural produce will bring people of Eastern Lakes State together as one. on rights systems of governance that can involves all tribes of a greater Yirol but the fate of people of Aluakluak payam in your government has remain as questionable since you name your cabinets .that favor Yirol east and Awerial county but the people are concerns over your transparency in nearest future .
- Insecurity between in western part of the lakes for new generation for the state, you promised to build tarmac roads through the resources and economic developments. Water and Housing: state .What are your administration’s achievements in this regard? That security of life and property during your deliberated compagain for the post of governor and job creation through agriculture .commerce and social safety net and security of law enforcement
- Education: Sir, during the manifesto promised. To improve education sector in the Eastern lakes states promised teachers Finally, before I draw the curtain, I wish to seek clarification on some other related issues:
Your Excellency sir, I wish to state clearly that this letter is not in support of any of your opposition but in sole support of what is good for this state. I don’t think I belong to any political party .but show you how to deserve another term in office. On your part, we hoped for a better government under your administration, but it now clearly shows that we will get
Sincerely don’t believe this state belongs to either of any tribes and you alone but to every one of us and you don’t have the right to name it after yourselves but to give us a general identity we can all buy into because the cabinets you name does not reflects the views of the communities of greater Yirol.
It is only giving chances to creates more oppositions to yourselves than ever before but now the cabinets comprises of advisors and ministers from the state include two advisors and 4 ministers from Yirol east which is total 6 members from Yirol East and three deputy governor and minster. Advisor that made total three members from Awerial county. One from Ger payam .and Yirol center is two governor and minister of finance. Ngop payam where given the state secretary only to creations relationship a head
Yours in nation building,
Emmanuel Malual Makuach, Kenya
