February 29, 2016 (SSB)  —  The community of Lol State in, Nairobi, Kenya, formed their own community apart from the former Aweil Community as resulted from the presidential decree on 24-12-2015, which turned the ten states to 28 states.

As matter of fact, the creation of more states brought the changes within the Republic of South Sudan and outside South Sudan especially the communities which were formed for the sake of unity, education and other different purposes in wherever they are as South Sudanese communities in abroad.

The community follow the same processes or procedures as it was declared by presidential decree on SSTV. This presidential order aware the community of Lol State in Nairobi, Kenya to Formed their own leadership out from the former Aweil Community or Aweil Youth Association in Kenya (AYA-K).

The community of Lol State nominated Garang Dong Ngong, as the chairman of interim leadership until election is held on the agreed month and date.

The current interim chairman of Lol State has served the former community of Aweil for two years that’s from August 2012 to August 2014, when he handed over the chairmanship to the new leadership of the community.

The meeting was attended by chairman of Bahr el Ghazal Youth Union, chairman of Twic Mayardit and Aweil Women Association representative. The interim leadership was welcome by many people outside Lol State and it was appreciated by majority of Lol State community in Nairobi, Kenya.
