Nag not Mr. Lino Lual, let the state government performs!
Nag not Mr. Lino Lual, let the state government performs! Do not take it personal!
By Sunday de John, Juba, South Sudan
April 25, 2016 (SSB) —- In his recent article titled, “Reply to Sunday de John”, published by Juba Monitor, issue No. 671 and 672 respectively, on page 5, one nagging gentleman has bared his frustrations by putting my innocent name as title of his useless article. The article was perhaps meant to gain rare publicity because the content of what the author was writing is as empty as his own head. The arguments raised have added little if any value to its purpose.
Despite lack of substance in what Lino Lual wrote, it is inevitable that I should make rebuttal to his naked but derisory claims. First and foremost, my past article, the one being responded to by Lino hasn’t demean him in anyway. It was persuasive in character, I opted to ask Lual to desist from agitation, particularly agitation directed at the young leadership of his home state.
Despite my humble submission, Lual through his bloviating character opted to again write nothing but waste of ink with what he referred to as reply to Sunday de John. A frustrated young chef has decided to fight three different innocent personalities, just because he is pompous.
If it isn’t pomposity, then what conclusion did he draw from his argument? Who is that reader that has gotten the theme of Lual’s article? Of course Lual was writing to himself.
A bloviator with showy character of Laul’s caliber can’t use a media platform to defame the seasoned militant-cum-politician, a youth leader of proven capacity and now a Deputy Governor in the person of Santino Akot Abiem. He too can’t fight a community leader-cum-business figure of Makiir Gai’s stature. More so, he has no right to attack me on claims of not being a son of Gokrial state!
The anguish Lual is in has many dimensions, one of the dimensions is merely arrogance, the other is publicity and perhaps the third dimension is much more associated with naysaying.
His pathological hatred of the two individuals shouldn’t blind him that he mistakes me for either of the two. I am a South Sudanese who doesn’t have mental confinement of calling myself a man from a place other than Gokrial. Doing that would be myopic.
In this context, I am a writer, and writers regardless of their genealogies are public teachers without confinement. I don’t have to write on issues pertaining only my home town. That would be tribal, myopic and not nationalistic. I love my country. So writing about Gokrial isn’t a crime. Writing about issues pertaining Lol or any other state would as well be safe.
However, I was prompted to write by the fact that the claims against the individuals involved weren’t coherent with what they actually do. For instance, Santino Akot has tirelessly as part of a collective responsibility fought for the Liberation of South Sudan, he had been commanded and as well had commanded forces in different battles for the liberty of South Sudanese.
A seasoned army personal of high morality who had served in different capacities has to be appreciated for his selfless sacrifices and the best I thought would have been accorded to him is standing by him and helping him to achieve the developmental goal pledged by the state authorities.
Moreover, accusing him of crimes he hasn’t committed is in itself criminal. We can’t punish people for crimes we presume they will comit. Since when did Santino become a Deputy Governor? What has he messed up? He is just few days in that office, give him chance to perform.
I challenge Mr. Lino Lual to briefly withhold hatred and assumes patience so that his current victims could first underperform before showering them with blames. His only reasons are, Abiem helped Makiir assume community leadership, and that in turn Makiir awarded cars to state government for that matter. Perhaps his influence over the state government isn’t achieving a parameter and so he desires to envy Makiir’s. If true, then i would deem it as either a nag or resentful character.
That Makiir Gai whom he refer to as illiterate conman is configuring himself to get LC like usual and then run abroad to go and enjoy what doesn’t actually belongs to him. That Makiir was a known liar with no single known business but who through fabrication assumes the title of a tycoon, businessman and etc.
He even further narrated that Makiir and Sunday have left people of Gokrial to suffer bad attributes of hunger and run with what he called LC last year. Could this be what? Madness in its entirety? Lunacy? Am just wondering!!
The true characteristics of this gentleman haven’t yet been detected. However, his claims are mere lies meant to anchor a point that he can argue with so and so.
It is mind-boggling as to why a gentleman of Laul’s caliber with the senseless education he so claim be of such a great calamity to his own identity.
I have dirtied my principles by arguing with him. However, I would advise him to desist from enhancing non-issue in the media.
I believe if what Makiir Gai has offered to the needy South Sudanese couldn’t be appreciated this much, then the art of philanthropy has to be annihilated.
Through reliable sources, Makiir has been projected in good light. He has been mentioned to might have contributed immensely to the welfare of people of Gokrial and beyond. I do not know Makiir but I have acquired information through reliable media sources that he has donated X-ray machines, ambulances, food to starving people, cars to the state government, construction of schools and facilitation of release of inmates amongst others.
If those are true as portrayed, then what else does Lual want from a businessman to his state?
Why is Lual criminalising philanthropic acts? I would advise Makiir Gai if he is reading this to help his people as much as he can afford without considering the empty rhetorics of resentful man. Lual is just pompous and would want his ego to be massaged by listening to his nonsensical assertions.
It is inevitable that the second part will dwell much on what went wrong with Lual. I hope this serves the day, till then yours truly Mr. Teetotaler!
