Tonj People in Diaspora Pays Tributes to Gen. Henry Akoon Agei

May 8, 2016 (SSB)  —-  The people of Tonj in diaspora Kenya pay tribute to Gen. Henry Akoon Agei. Henry Akoondit was sick and he passed on last week Thursday in hospital in Khartoum Sudan. General Akoondit the patriot of Tonj was said to shall have suffered blood pressure. He consult several medical doctors in both in Juba and eventually the specialist made of his personal physician but fortunately he pass on this Thursday while under medications.

On behalf of Tonj people in diaspora Kenya, general Akoondit pass on destabilized everybody, he is mourned allover by us his family and the society of living in Kenya. This is because he was an icon of peace in Tonj. He too played vital role in serving his community when the Sudan was one before it split into modern day Sudan and South Sudan. He was a role of model of everybody in the district of Tonj due to his charismatic’s leadership system. He was admirer of everybody in today Tonj State particularly the Apuk Juwiir the subdivision of greater Tonj, Jak Payam.

His profession was military. He was a veteran general who in various capacity stood firm with his people. He like protecting the integrity and rights of the common South Sudanese throughout his vacancy until the South Sudan independence the year 2011.He was a general whose duties and obligations were to the standards of every citizens simply because he serve with equality.

This is a called to all South Sudanese and the citizens that many times, God plans are different from our humane. He would have allowed and kept him to educate the youth and upcoming government officials on how to execute tasks and better responsibilities since his wisdoms were eminent. General Henry Akoondit was among other veterans that people regarded as a person of everybody. He contributed in the liberations years for the freedom of the people republic of South Sudan. He simply protect the common people, common citizens simply because he love justice to all.

Words of thanks to South Sudanese diplomatic team in Juba and Khartoum for tireless efforts to make sure his body is flown to South Sudan capital Juba that will be proceeded to Tonj town. Tonj citizens in general deserved special thanks for their unfailing supports. The family of Chief Malek Agei thanks the government of South Sudan for televising event all over the countryman good lord blessed you all abundantly.

In faith, Gen. Henry was a staunch Catholic here in the creed.
