May 28, 2016 (SSB) — The South Sudanese citizens are a hospitable people and munificent. But those who come-in our country illegitimately; and those who always deploy uneducated police personnel at our borders are the ones who disrespect the rule of law. And because we’re neighboring countries where terrorists are tricky, it’s better for the South Sudan Police Services to deploy highly trained, educated and patriotic personnel who shall at all times be in position to tackle illegal influx of immigrants.

We merely cannot allow people to pour into South Sudan undetected, undocumented and unchecked. South Sudanese are right to demand better border security and better enforcement of the immigration laws. The immigration rules would clearly strengthen enforcement. On the other angle, the agencies charged with border security would receive new technology, new facilities and more educated people to stop, process, and deport illegal immigrants.

While security might start at our borders, it doesn’t end there. Thousands of undocumented immigrants live and work here without our knowing their identity and their background. We need to strike a workable bargain with them. They’ve to acknowledge that breaking our immigration laws was/is wrong. They must pay a penalty, and abide by all our laws going forward.

Immigrants must earn right to stay over a period spelled-out in the constitution, and then they must wait for another five years as a legal permanent residents before they become citizens. But in exchange for accepting those penalties, we must allow undocumented immigrants to come out of the shadows and step on a path toward full participation in our society.

In fact, I will not support any bill that doesn’t offer this earned path to citizenship for the undocumented population-not just for humanitarian reasons; not just also because the people, having broken the law, did so for the best motives, to try and provide a better for their children and their grandchildren; but also because this is the only practical way we can get a handle on the population that’s within our borders right now.

To keep from having to go through this difficult process again in the future, must also replace the flow of undocumented immigrants coming to work here with a new flow of guest workers. Illegal immigration is bad for illegal immigrants and for the workers against whom they compete.

Replacing the flood of illegal-with a regulated stream of legal immigrants who the South Sudan after background checks and who are provided by the labor rights would enhance our security , raise wages, and improve working conditions for all South Sudanese. However, it’s a key role for all security organizations to ensure utmost safety for both the citizens and immigrants as per the rule of law, and it would be of a core value if we maintain an unceasing spirit of respecting foreigners in South Sudan.

World had always been ever serious in observation of law regarding immigration and alien; this is purely to secure safety for cultural norms and the state-related customs for all the citizens in the given deity. Security personnel deserve to place their interest in identifying how security deficiency affects the operational system of particular authority.
