Bor Mayor reduces the prices of fresh and dry fish in Jonglei state

July 17, 2016 (SSB) — The mayor of Bor municipal council Prof. Akim Ajieth Buny has issue an order for the reduction of prices for fresh and dry fish in the market. This order is issued in accordance with section 57/A of the Local government Act {2009} which grants mayor the legal right to enact legislation for establishment of the system in Bor Municipal Council. This provisional order may cited as provisional order No 2/2016 and shall come into force on its signature by the mayor.

Reduce the price of fresh and dry fish in the market will save the people of Bor town document reads. The three paged Document said this order shall be applied to all public and privates businesses and all the people within Bor town. Documents said the following terms shall be use as a price guide by both traders and consumers; cat fish 10 SSP per a kilo at Bor docking port and will be sold at 50 SSP in Marol market. One piece of cooked cat fish will be sold in the restaurants at 20 SSP.

Dry cat fish will be sold at 30 SSP at Bor docking port but sold at 50 SSP in Marol market its reads. Hetrotis fresh will be sold at 10 SSP per a kilo at Bor docking port but sold at 50 SSP in Marol market and one cut cooked piece of hetrotis will be sold in the restaurants at 20 SSP only.

Dry hetrotis will be sold at 40 SSP at Bor docking port but sold at 50 SSP in Marol market its reads. Fresh Tilapia will be sold at 10 SSP per a kilo at Bor docking port and will be sold at 30 SSP in Marol market and one piece of cooked of tilapia will be sold in the restaurants at 15 SSP and dry tilapia will be sold at 40 SSP at Bor docking port but 50 SSP in Marol market.

Gynmarch fish will be sold at 10 SSP per a kilo at Bor docking but sold at 50 SSP in Marol market, one piece cooked of Gynmarch fish will be sold at 20 SSP. Mud fish will sold at 15 SSP per a kilo at Bor docking port but sold at 50 SSP in Marol market document said.

According to the document it’s said whoever disobeys this order shall be liable for fined not exceeding 1,000 SSP or imprisonment for a term not exceeding one month or both.

It continue that whoever disobeys this order for the second time shall be liable for a fined not exceeding 2,000 SSP imprisonment for a term not exceeding two months or both an confiscation of fish.

Whoever disobey this order for third time shall be liable for imprisonment not exceeding six months and withdrawal of the operation license
