August 5, 2016 (SSB) — Foreign interventions have constantly been a controversial aspect of international security and law. For those countries at the receiving end, prompt reference to the concepts of sovereignty and territorial integrity were/are inevitable as a means of avoiding intervention. For such countries, the two concepts are always used to fend off against intervention proposals by so called superpowers, be they states or international organizations like the UN.

While the two concepts continue to strongly feature in the intervention debate, they are no longer as broad as they used to be. For good or bad, they hold a different meaning in the “new world order” which emerged with the United Nations in 1945, a world security order which South Sudan voluntarily joined through signing the UN Charter as a precondition for its recognition as a ‘sovereign’ nation-state in 2011.

August 5, 2016 (SSB) — In a brief statement by James Tayien Koang (Chairman Of Plow Community In Uganda) to the public that we therefore strongly condemn and dismiss the appointment of a former minister of mining General Taban Deng Gai in unrecognized presidential decree to act as first vice president in Transitional Government of National Unity in SPLM in opposition hence eliminating Dr. Riek Machar Teny who was officially authorized in a peace deal tabled by IGAD and Troikas in Addis Abba-Ethiopia in 2015.

August 5, 2016 (SSB) — As for my own understanding, the legacy of South Sudan former first vice president and commander of I-O, is well know by the worldwide and South Sudanese people in particular as the end telepathist in the history of the SPLM/A. South Sudanese populaces are at all times been prearranged with wrong impression by Dr. Machar, which grounds tribalism among the citizens of this country.

Most of us at this juncture in this country knows very well the failure of former first vice president of the Republic of South Sudan and it is the reality that, there are those who behind him are supporting unconstructive things as being enormously for them, the problems and tenderness that they are facing now is the rationale for their aspiration.

August 5, 2016 (SSB) — Late last year I urged the President of the Republic of South Sudan Comrade Salva Kiir to immediately initiate dialogue with the former detainees. That appeal is obviously not adhered to and the consequences are on the way screaming loud for all to hear.

Former detainees are not outsiders or guests in the SPLM, they are the SPLM and if for any reason President Kiir is proud of the role he played in the bush then it was because some of these individuals/commanders helped him achieved that objective. They were his foot soldiers/ officers Kiir ca not claimed to be a hero/ veteran in the absence of these people.

If Dr Garang was to resurrect today what would shock him most is the news that Pagan Amum,  Majak Agoot,  Oyai, Deng Ajak,  Dr Cirino Hiteng, Madut Biar,  Mac Paul are in exile  having been forced to stay outside South Sudan for fear of their  lives.
