Press statement the Kuocgoor Diaspora Community Global Leadership Union (KDCGLU)

Thursday, September 8, 2016

September 9, 2016 (SSB) — The Kuocgoor Diaspora Community Global Leadership Union (KDCGLU) is taking this ultimate opportunity to express the communal views of the Kuocgoor over the issue pertaining to the controversial Kuel-Mol-Piny Distribution of the two counties, which has sparked the sporadic dissatisfaction and outrageous disappointment among the vast majority of Kuocgoor globally.

The Kuocgoor Diaspora General Assembly and her leadership in both diaspora and Homeland declared the resolutions passed by the former Commissioner of the Kuelmolpiny and the Ruweng State Assembly as unconstitutional and unlawful due to the fact that the consecutive meetings convened in Panrieng, Ruweng State did not represented the voices of the Kuocgoor in Homeland and Diaspora.

Conclusively, the Kuocgoor Diaspora Community Global Leadership recommends the following resolutions to be implemented swiftly to alleviate the grievous position of the Kuocgoor’s people (both in Diaspora & Homeland):

  1. Kuocgoor Diaspora and Homeland condemn vehemently the unconstitutional and illegal procedures taken, and urged the reversal and nullification of those resolutions which were passed unlawfully to form the counties of Molpiny.
  2. Kuocgoor (both Diaspora & Homeland) demand their own county which shall be named as Jamjang and her headquarter shall be Jamjang town.
  3. Kuocgoor General Assembly endorses the paper position letter by the Jamjang Youths in Ruweng which requested Gov. Mayol Kur to act upon it as soon as possible to grant Kuocgoor her own county.
  4. Kuocgoor recommends that both Agany and Paweny should form the new county (Gumriak+Wunkur) in accordance to the 2008 National census.
  5. We request and urge Gov. Mayol Kur not to declare the Ruweng State newly formed counties without recognizing Kuocgoor County as Jamjang.

Kuocgoor both in Diaspora and Homeland, anticipate a positive feedback.

Sincerely yours, signed by the Kuocgoor Diaspora Community Leaders. The Kuocgoor Diaspora Community Leaders & Senior Elders.
