October 1, 2016 (SSB) — Many Aweilians give thanks to their sons who agreed to forgive one another for the sake of peace and unity between themselves. The Community has done its part to reconcile you as the brothers and heroes of our nation.
It’s their role to bring you together in the spirit of brotherhood to share the common interests being at state, regional and national level in your field of military and other political aspects as men who served together in liberation struggle against the government of Sudan, when South Sudan was not an independent state.
We encourage you to team up with other generals of Aweil Community to make us great than shame. We are no happy when we hear differences about you. The new chapter we need from you is love, harmony and peace but hatred, segregation and jealousy to be put aside and embrace the spirit of togetherness. The more you are divided, the weak you will become.
Dear Generals, Your reconciliation matters to us and some of us will imitate you depending on the way you had done the process of reconciliation; it is clear that, there was a tension and you made it to peace. There was disagreement and you made it to agreement. There were rumors circulating and you made them to the facts in presence of your elders and the entire community as well.
There were flatteries spread by flatterers and you made them to believe that you are men guided by your own philosophies. Many people lost hope, faith, respect, confident on you, and you made them to recover their losses. Your reconciliation is also the reconciliation of your subordinates from top to bottom.
We hope that, your grievances are solved and there will be no retrogress in the future time. We bear in our minds that, your subordinates are in agreement with you regarding the reconciliation to let them conform with you, so that, there will be no differences cause by them.
Finally, we welcome your reconciliation as Aweilian both inside and outside South Sudan. Your togetherness is the success of Aweilian sons and daughters regarding the areas they want your support. This will make your reputation to be remembered forever in the history of Aweil Community and South Sudan as well.
