Students’ Youth chairman elected in Eldoret Kenya

Thousands of south Sudanese students from colleges and universities in North Rift and western regions of Kenya have elected their new chairperson. The election was highly contested from students of universities and colleges aiming to bring youth especially the students of South Sudan together.
South Sudanese students currently studying in North Rift region have elected anew chairperson for the association in addition to other post holders,
Daniel Makur Nhial from university of Eldoret was elected as the association new chairperson defeating John Deng Atem of Moi University with 66 votes to 39.
Gabriel Anyuon electoral commission secretary appreciates the students of great Rift for their huge turn out to vote their new chairperson with good fair and credible elections we have never have
“We want to be exemplary to other associations in conducting such organized elections that we can take back home in South Sudan which we can meet international standards and credible free and fair,” said Gabriel.
The former out going under leadership of Bok Chol Bok vowed to provide technical assistances to association and its newly elected members to continue bring south Sudanese students together,
25 female students participated in the elections.
