January 17, 2017 (SSB) — The new Governor of Gogrial state Hon. Maj. Gen. Gregory Deng Kuach Aduol has made changes in his Government by relieving Hon. Geng Mayuot Gom from his position as the state security advisor from the effect of 16th January 2017. Governor Deng Kuach appointed Hon. Akot Lual Akot the former Commissioner of Gogrial East County as State Security advisor of Gogrial state.

In other-hand Governor sacked three counties Commissioners of Gogrial state and this affected commissioners are as follow;

  1. Hon. Daniel Anyuon Chan Ajuong from Apuk East County
  2. Hon. Peter Mateem Yak from Awan-chan County
  3. Hon. Lual Lual Malook from Awan-rieu County were relieved from their positions with effect of gubernatorial decree made by the Governor yesterday afternoon.

Their relieved of the above commissioners came as the result of the communities demand since last year.

Hon. Maj. Gen. Gregory Deng Kuach has issued another Gubernatorial Decree of appointing new commissioners into the position of the sacking one and this as follow;

  1. Hon. Anyuon Dhol Anyuon Longar from Apuk East County
  2. Hon. Simon Apet Deng from Awan-chan County
  3. Hon. Atem Gal from Awan-rieu County

Commissioners were sacked due to their negligence to the services the delivered to the citizens of the Gogrial state more especially Apuk east Commissioner.

i would like to inform all the citizens of Gogrial state to cooperate with changes that had happened in last 14 hours. Some of the commissioners were accused of looting the citizens by increasing the tax from SSP 30 to SSP 500 per household and it was increased to SSP 100 by the Communities elders with recommendation from Local Government Authorities.

As said by the Governor early that, this time is time for development but not time for practicing corruption within the state.
