THE SUN OF MY LIFE IS YOU…

Even if I walk in the valley of the shadow of death, I shall always remember you

Even if I move away from you going to faraway land beyond seas and oceans, I shall always remember you

Even if I die, God forbid, in that silence grave, I shall always remember you

Even if I live a luxurious life, enjoying myself to my fill, I shall always remember you

Why do I have to remember you throughout my life?

It’s because I love you affectionately!

A gifted soul of my life

So dear!

 –

Look mummy,

You carried me in your womb for nine months, so pristine, you are dear

Under that foetal circulation, you took great care of me, you are dear

I developed no congenital abnormalities from that day you were conceived of me, you are dear

You ate that “soil” to make my bones strong full of calcium, you are dear

You persevered that labor pains when you bore me, you are dear

You struggled tooth and nail to ensure that I suck healthy milk from your breast nipples, you are dear

I must always thank God for you mummy

I love you a great deal!

So dear

 –

I am grateful,

For the struggles you underwent to raise me as your son in absence of my dad,

It was very painful to you

But you never gave up on me

For the manner you fed me up to my fill in that adolescent age, always challenging,

I know it was painful to you

But you never gave up on me

For your resilience and courage when you protected me in the midst of crisis that made many mothers threw away their children, you never did it to me,

It was painful to you I know mum, even when you covered me up with a basket like Moses

But you never gave up on me

You bore the cries alone, mourning my dad when he was killed, yet you forgot your own self and convert your soothing care unto me

It was painful I know mummy

But you never gave up on me

You deserve all the appreciation from me mummy

You are the best lover of my life

I am grateful for you!

 –

I regret mummy,

When I disobeyed you and rather do things in ignorance, I am sorry

When I thought I was a grown up and tried to brush shoulders with you, I am sorry

When I left home when you blamed for not taking care of the cattle byre, I am sorry

When I spoke into your face that you are a mean mother, I am sorry

When I fought my little sibling and hear nothing of you, I am sorry

When I was influenced by my peers and squandered the little source life we had, I am sorry

I never knew that I was on the wrong path of life

I am a prodigal son

Forgive me mother for those atrocities I did you

I love you the best

 –

Mummy,

Because you have never ignored me, I shall always remember you

Because you have never “killed” my destiny, I shall always remember you

Because you have always shown me the right path of life in those hard moments, I shall always remember you

Because you have always shown me mother love, I shall always remember you

Because you never gave up on my obstinate behaviors and you stand still to correct me, I shall always remember you

Why do I have to remember you all throughout my life?

It’s because I love you affectionately!

A gifted soul of my life

So dear

 –

Look,

People have talked against me; you dared not hearken unto their envy

Simply because you knew me, from head to toe

People have wanted to betrayed my soul and get me killed, you dared not hearken unto their envy

Simply because you knew me, from head to toe

People go hard on easy things about me, you dared not hearken unto their envy

Simply because you knew me, from head to toe

People have cursed me of my unbecoming behaviors that I am gonna be failure, you dared not hearken unto their envy

Simply because you knew me, from head to toe

I must confess with mine own mouth that you are only one mummy who understood my complicated life squarely

And that is why I called you the dearest

A gifted soul of my life

 –

With what I have in acquired now mummy from your efforts,

I vow I shall do something if not everything to compensate

I vow I shall take the mantle in this youthful stage to compensate

I vow I shall uplift your soul in the loveliest way to compensate

I vow I shall never be below the belt to compensate

I vow I shall do all that you did, all that you said to compensate

I vow I shall ensure that the same blood flows to my future children to compensate

I vow I shall trained the less beloved and fortunate children to know life to compensate

I vow I shall commit myself to serve the community to retract their curse on me to compensate

And that is my entire pledge mummy

And you are the bright sun of my life

I love you dearly

May God give your life to witness my success!
