April 2, 2018 (SSB) — Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die” John 11:25-26
Listen, I tell you a mystery: we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed- in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet, for the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable and we will be changed.
For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true, “Death has been swallowed up in Victory” 1 Corinthians 15:51-54, the resurrection of Jesus Christ has brought forth hope to those who believe in Christ and with him no thorn or human weapons can pierce his followers flesh for through Christ death and resurrection the death is wholly swallowed in victory.
And that is what he promised us even eternal life 1 John 2:25
For since the death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man 1 Corinthians 15:21, man brought death into the earth after he disobeyed the Creator but that did not stop the Creator from changing the bad shape of what happened to the man after he disobeyed the Lord, God himself said “let create the man in our own image’’ with such great promise God sent and gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
And if the spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his spirit, who lives in you Romans 8:11
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rises first-1 Thessalonians 4:16
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away” –Revelation 21:4
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord-Romans 6:23
Jesus has died on the cross such that our sins are forgiven the sins, sins that have been with us after the failure of our great father Adam, the one who sows to please his sinful nature from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit from the Spirit will reap eternal life-Galatians 6:8
But it has now been revealed through the appearing of our savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel-2 Timothy 1:10.
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them and they follow me. I give them eternal life and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand-John 10:2728.
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life and I will raise him up at the last day-John 6:54.
Halleluiah! The Lord has risen from the pit of death, his flesh and blood are there to cement the roots of our believing and watch away the sins of his little children ever and forever Amen.
