Mr President, What is my incentive in this war?

By Deng Barach Paul, Juba, South Sudan

April 28, 2018 (PW) — What is my incentive if this war continues?
I am a widow.
My husband was killed in this war,  what is my incentive if this war continues?
I am an ordinary citizen.
I feels insecure, my childrens died of diseases,  hungry, because there’s no health facilities. What is my incentive if this war continues?
I am refugee.
I sleep under tree, and I have no food and water, and treatment.
What is my incentive if this war continues? I am a government employee.
My salary does not come on time and it is not enough for two weeks.
What is my incentive if this war continues?
I am student.
I can’t afford the school fees and lunch because everything is very expensive.
What is my incentive if this war continues?
I am soldier.
My salary is not enough and the payments does not come on time; what is my incentive if this war continues?
I am an orphan.
My father and mother were killed in this war,
What is my incentive if this war continues?
No education,  no roads, no clean water, no health care services and everything is very expensive and there is insecurity everywhere in the country because of this senseless war.
For us South Sudanese citizens what are our incentives if this war continues?
Mr. President give us our incentives.
Please president if you  cares for your citizens bring the everlasting peace to us.
peace is your incentive.
Enough is enough.
Thanks you.
