New Year Message: May the year 2020 brings Joy, prosperity, happiness and sustainable peace in South Sudan

Tuesday, 31 December 2019 (PW) — May the year 2020 bring in joy, prosperity, hope, happiness and sustainable peace in our country.
The people of South Sudan have suffered a great deal. They need to rest, resettle and rebuild their lives. They need to reconcile.
The economy is badly depressed. It is okay with some dark forces and their acolytes at the expense of the citizens caught up in the war of people who said they had liberated them.
Kawajat or the region will not bring peace, come rain come shine. War never brings peace although war experts proved that it can sometimes be a part of the solution in a very costly way.
The President with other stakeholders need to expedite implementing the agreement in letter and spirit. We want to see the contentious issues thrashed out so that the RTGONU is established on time. The people are suffering in dignified silence to paraphrase the Late Chairman.
The leaders should keep a distance from those who take advantage of being close to them to gossip about others. Those are peace obstructionists. They only want to eat.
They must leave and give the leaders time to think of how to bring about peace.
I call upon the leaders to be on the watch about the war traders. The previous agreement was a good deal. It could have solved the internal problems of our country; but it was derailed by that selfish group.
They may repeat what they did last time. The same agitators are not happy that you are striving harder to bring peace back to our country.
They find solace in the loss of lives and destruction of properties which is for them a license to continue sucking the blood of innocent citizens who have no definition of this war.
Those who don’t want peace and stability to be restored are the same people who confront and liquidate those supporting and embracing peace and harmony.
They are the same people who run abroad to say the leaders in South Sudan have failed to perform their duties in protecting the people and maintaining peace.
It was later discovered that these spoilers are the ones behind the failure if any. Stop conspiracy and give peace a chance!
