RE: Congratulatory Message from Jonglei State Students in Zimbabwe to the Newly Appointed Governor of Jonglei State
Saturday, July 18, 2020 (PW) — We are so much honoured that we would like to congratulate Hon. Denay Jock Chagor, the newly appointed Governor of Jonglei State on his appointment.
As youth from Jonglei State studying in Zimbabwe, we kindly send our warmest congratulations to you, sir and we equally welcome you as our new Governor. We are also thankful to H.E Salva Kiir Mayardit for the appointment.
Having noticed your recognisable and appreciable diligence when you were in charge of the Ministry of Higher Education, we believe that our State will be in good hands. As a matter of fact, we believe in the spirit of service provisions to the citizens of Jonglei State.
In that regard, we are looking forward to seeing the new Government of Jonglei with energetic youth, who are very much able to deliver services to the people.
There are so many challenges that need to be addressed in Jonglei, but the main one is the insecurity along the Juba- Bor road and in villages, where people are killed on daily basis by Murle bandits.
The insecurity along the Juba-Bor road could be solved by the central government in coordination with Jonglei and Central Equatoria States.
The insecurity in villages could be reduced by increasing the number of security or police forces in counties that are badly affected on daily basis in order to help protect innocent civilians from Murle criminals.
We, therefore, request your esteemed leadership to help solve or reduce daily loss of lives by fixing this insecurity issue.
