Dear PaanLuel Wël Media Ltd: Kindly publish this article for the good of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs & Disaster Management and the country!

Thursday, 26 October 2023 (PW) — Since the appointment of Hon. Albino Akol Atak earlier this year, the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs & Disaster Management has been in a stable position. The ministry has undergone a restructuring process to reshape and reimage the aftermath of its former minister, Hon. Peter Mayen Wen Majongdit.

The new Minister has successfully regained the trust of the Country’s international organisations, which was lost during the tenure of the former Minister.

However, the former Minister, who ran the ministry like his private company, is now conspiring with dark forces to falsely implicate Hon. Akol Atak, the current Minister, for his success in running the ministry to the government’s credit.

The deputy RRC commissioner, Santino Bol Mouter, was originally appointed on the SPLM ticket. However, he has now been confirmed as a registered member of the South Sudan Opposition Alliance under the current Vice President of Service Cluster, H.E Hussein Abdalbagi Akol.

The revitalised agreement designated Akol’s party as the custodian of the position of RRC Deputy commissioner, which they will share. However, those who wish to retain their current positions will need to work hard to secure their re-appointments.

Honourable Albino Akol Atak has become an influential diplomat who has worked tirelessly to rebuild the tattered diplomacy of his country. He was appointed to the Other Political Parties docket under the African National Congress (ANC) of South Sudan, which was chaired by Sudan’s former Vice President, George Kongor Arop.

Atak’s dedication and hard work have stirred up the ministry, making him an important figure in the country’s political landscape.

Hon. Akol is a person who transcends political boundaries and agreements, as observed by both the Ministry and International Organization heads. He is particularly friendly towards the returnees and refugees of the Sudan political conflict, as well as the ministry staff. It is evident that anyone with a rational mind can attest to these reports.

It is important for H.E. President Salva Kiir Mayardit to be cautious about political confusions orchestrated by opponents for their own interests. These opponents may resort to crucifying colleagues of other parties in order to win the trust of the president for appointments.

I urge the President, as the technical staff of the ministry, to disregard any political schemes being fabricated against the current minister.

Instead, attention should be directed towards the former minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, as well as the Deputy Commissioner of RRC who has apparently switched to the opposition party and is no longer serving the interests of the ruling party, to which he was originally appointed.
