Friday, November 23, 2018 (PW) —- The Jonglei institute for Peace, Democracy and Development (JIPDD) has strongly rejected the recent statement issued by the IGAD threatening to categorize holdout groups as ‘spoilers’ of peace in the Country. Last week, the East African bloc of nations IGAD threatened to categorize as peace “spoilers” the holdout rebel groups that refused to join the peace deal in South Sudan.

JIPDD urges the IGAD, Partners and Friends of South Sudan to still reach out to any warring groups who are not signatories to the peace deal. The war for South Sudanese and the peace is for South Sudanese all. No one should left out, our grievances need to be address all equally. Who is not a South Sudanese? February 1, 2017 (SSB) — The secretary for information of the Jonglei’s Institute for Peace, Democracy and Development (JIPDD), Jongkuch Jo Jongkuch, a civil society group in Jonglei State,, has welcomes the position of the UN, AU and regional peace partners for the calls an immediate cessation of hostilities in South Sudan.

The people of the south Sudan have been suffering for more than three years due to conflict said Jongkuch. Jongkuch says Thousands fled their homes and shelter within south Sudan at the protection of civilian sites and IDPs camps and many leave for neighbouring countries.

Thousands got kills women and under-age girls are been raps by unknown personnel he explain. Jongkuch Jo on calls both warring parties to put down their guns and give peace a chance.

We must stop accusing the UN of war that we initiated and fueled by ourselves

SRSG to United Nation mission in South Sudan Mr. David Shearer

January 21, 2017 (SSB) — The Jonglei Institute for Peace, Democracy and Development (JIPDD) a civil society group based in Bor, Jonglei state has urged the new Special Representative of the Secretary-General SRSG to South Sudan Mr. David Shearer of New Zealand to restore the trust and respect of the united nation mission in South Sudan.

There are misleading propaganda and unfounded baseless information cooked by some institutions and interests groups to tarnish the face of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan.

Following the crisis which erupted in Juba, the wide protest which denounced the biasness of the United Nations and its successive failures in Africa was an abuse to such an international organization.

Alek Ajang Atem abducted last month and her mother killed by Murle armed men no one has been arrested so far.

January 19, 2017 (SSB) — 39 people have been killed and dozen others wounded in Duk area of Jonglei State. Among the dead are 29 cattle raiders, and 12 indigenous people of Duk Area. The raiders were confirmed to be Murle armed men.

At least nine civilians who sustained gunshot wounds in an attack on Jonglei‘s Duk Padiet County were yesterday referred to Juba Military Hospital for treatment from their wounds.

A doctor who spoke to JIPPD on anonymity for not being authorized to give statement to media said Thursday that the wounded were immediately referred to Juba on arrival to Bor State Hospital from Duk because they cannot handle the cases.

January 17, 2017 (SSB) — The information secretary for the Jonglei Institute for Peace, Democracy and Development (JIPDD), Jongkuch Jo Jongkuch, said JIPDD has welcomed the reshuffling in the top management of central bank of south Soudan as well as the ministry of finance saying that it is a part of economic reforms in South Sudan.

Whatever changes that have been done by president Kiir in central Bank and finance ministry will restore hope to the people of South Sudan regarding economic crisis that hits the country more three years ago, Jongkuch narrate.

He said the humble citizens of South Sudan are hoping that one day market items shall drop but this never happen as they keeping hoping on the daily bases.
