Final communiqué of the third meeting of the leadership bureau of the Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF)

The leadership bureau of the Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF) held its third meeting from 28 May to 1 June 2012 in the presence of the chairman, his deputies and members of the Board.  The meeting discussed deeply the following issues:
1. Assessment of the economic and political situation
2. Vision of SRF on the comprehensive peaceful solution
3. SRF position on the Security Council resolution No. 2046
4. Adoption of the statute and regulations.
 The political situation
The meeting praised struggle of Sudanese people and its rejection of war crimes in all parts of Sudan. Its also lauded fighters of SRF, youth, women, students, workers, shepherds and intellectuals.
The meeting confirmed that the political current situation clearly marks a deepening crisis of governance and completing of the revolutionary awareness to overthrow the current regime of the National Congress Party (NCP) through the peaceful work and the armed struggle.
The meeting called for uniting of the opposition work with SRF and contacts with all opposition groups to save Sudanese people and to put an end to suffering of the nation and citizens,  in particular and the economic situation became so bad.
The meeting discussed in details the humanitarian situation and condemned  strongly government’s refusing to allow corridors to deliver food for camps IDPs and  refugees in Darfur, besides using internationally banned weapons in Southern Kordofan and Nuba Mountains and Blue Nile . The SRF called on the international community to bear blame in defending citizens from a regime that  its leaders wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) on crimes against humanity and war crimes.
As for the UN Security Council resolution No. 2046, the meeting  welcomed the resolution and called for solving the problems of Sudan and South Sudan peacefully. The meeting formed a committee to follow-up this important issue to reach a comprehensive and just peace in Sudan with the international and regional community. The meeting also welcomed talks currently happening between Sudans and South Sudan in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, stressing that dialogue is the only way to resolve the outstanding issues between the two countries.
The SRF leadership bureau admitted the option of the comprehensive peaceful solution which depends on:
1- To find a good atmosphere for the comprehensive peaceful solution which includes:
A. Security of the citizen
B. The right to deliver humanitarian aid unconditionally
C. Ensuring of the public freedoms and the fundamental rights
2- The subjective issues
A. Declaration of principles
B. Transition period
D-Constitutional Conference
E- Conducting of census, democratic elections under international observation
The SRF passed the statue and regulations which govern work of the front. The step is important in the development of the SRF which will lead to building of revolutionary coalition leads to change in Sudan and building of the Citizenship State.
