The death of comrade Maj. Isaiah Diing Abraham Chan Awuol is the biggest tragedy to family, relatives, and colleagues of the decease especially Dinka Bor where Isaiah Diing come from. It is so painful and more painful for some of us who have taken part in bringing stability in this nation. Comrade Isaiah Abraham had done his part by revealing the rogue and rotten part of South Sudan, defined by corruption and inefficiency, to the wider world. If people were behaving in the way people are now behaving nowadays in South Sudan, then we would have not been able to achieve what we were fighting for. Some people take advantage of the cold blood killing of innocent people in South Sudan. There will surely be a day when those cold blood killers will be netted. However, we must be aware that, what goes around always come around, there will be a time when those orphan creators within South Sudan will be revealed or netted. The killing of political commentator Isaiah Abraham shows that our country is “in the middle of nowhere” Everything has an end. You, killers, have accomplished your ill-conceived job, you did your part and still you will die because “what goes around always come around though you have shielded yourself.

If we are still happy with creating orphan amongst us, then our country is moving backward and that is why some of our neighbor term this country South Sudan as ”country of no going”. I always argue when I heard such debate and now I have witnessed in the killing of this young man Isaiah Abraham. We will keep denying that none of us took part in his killing as all of us can swear, but only his innocent blood and God who creates him will later reveal the secretive assassins, no matter how much happiness they will derive from his death.

When I reflect back during war time, it is the same situation we are now in though we claim we have achieved our destiny, there was no reason we struggle for long periods until the estimate figure 2.5 million people lost their lives due to our freedom. We struggled for good governance, rule of law, protection of human rights, to eradicate corruption and nepotism, freedom of expression and many more. But in South Sudan, it is simple as sipping your cold water. Nobody can deny in South Sudan when you speak truth, you will be killed, kidnapped or threatened. Mr. Deng Athuai and other human rights activists are becoming the victims as if they are other Arabs within South Sudan.

The killing of intellectual people will have a negative impact toward the development of our new nation South Sudan. Our country is, and will be, now in total mess when and if our intellectual people are being targeted because of telling the facts about what is required of South Sudan leaders to do. We now consider ourselves as a young nation since many people always stated that. It is not new since Khartoum government and the SPLM/A sign Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) in 2005, Nairobi Kenya.

It is better to die than to live in a messy environment. Patriotism and self-sacrifice is not a simple word as some think. I don’t blame those who die in such situation like Isaiah Diing Abraham Chan Awuol, those who are kidnapped and badly beaten like Deng Athuai, those who are being threatened through cell phone messaging who die in advocating for good governance, democracy, rule of law, against abuse of human rights, corruption, nepotism and weak institutions within South Sudan.

For those who took merits in killing people because of one reason or another, must know that there will be a time they will definitely be held accountable for their crimes against the people of South Sudan because people cannot and will never cease from speaking the truth. They die rich in heart because they never let this country down since the struggle began. They die rich because they never participated in corruption, nepotism, and abuse of human rights. If anyone dies in such a way in South Sudan, then those people die rich and we can count them as true martyrs because they die for goodness of this nation.

However, some people can be happy with their families, relatives, and colleagues because they have eliminated those whom they don’t like for offering constructive criticisms, while Isaiah Abraham’s families, relatives and colleagues are living in grieves and heartfelt thinking about widows and orphan we have create within ourselves. It is really bitter to swallow our pride in this case, but we have nothing to do. Only God would and will answer the death of Isaiah Abraham.

My dear Isaiah Abraham, you have done your part and you die for it. Your deed will live within us and we will not forget about you though someone killed you due to personal interest. We will not let you down and we will not keep quiet in advocacy for good governance, rule of law, human rights, corruption and nepotism within South Sudan. The government cannot go forward when issues affecting people are not properly addressed.
My condolence goes to the victims of the deceases, my heart cry, bleed and pain for what happened to you, and I do mourn with you. As it happens, we have no other options but to remain strong in order to fulfill our commitment to the nation. Since it is the time of our immense suffering; I refer you to read the Bible to comfort you:

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as the suffering of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ” (2Cor 1:3-5). “Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:26-28). “Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in seeds, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong” (2Cor 12:8-10)

All of us will miss you Isaiah Abraham, we are mourning you day and night for your selfless sacrifice for your people. We will miss you indeed but we will not forget about you. Almighty God is watching and He will revenge your work one day to those who are now our cool blood killers in South Sudan.

Isaiah Abraham rest in eternal Peace!
