And Now the Circumstances Demand Calm

And now the circumstances demand calm.

Circumstances demand poise.

And circumstances demand law enforcement to be its very, very best.

——————————————-

To act with tolerance and professionalism.

Failure to understand the duties of law enforcement can give rise to societal explosiveness.   And tremendous suffering to the innocent.

A burden is on the shoulders of professional law enforcement: The right thing under pressure.  Forces of society and of disgust are asking you to perform professionally and calmly for stability of the People of South Sudan. Forces of society and of disgust are asking law enforcement to allow professionalism to serve.

——————————————–

And South Sudanese can help South Sudan walk away from calamity with respect and dignity and quiet.

——————————————-

Circumstances ask South Sudan to rise above the fury and the rage and trials of hostility to give today’s children a better tomorrow.

South Sudanese are struggling.  Oh yes, there is suffering.

But circumstances must create circumstances.  And South Sudan must rise out of the calamity to create tranquility.

Share and love and be good and challenge yourself to understand the views of others.

———————————————

Many share a fear that a collapse will arise in this interval of distress.

And that instability will foul the future of [our] children.  There is a fear that corruption will not only   exacerbate and deepen the financial challenges but will diminish the compassion and the energy generated from hope.

But South Sudanese can help South Sudan walk away from calamity with respect and dignity and quiet.

Two precious assets are organization and communication.   Grass root workshops to strengthen courage and ideals and understanding and the beauty of South Sudan’s resilience.

————————–

We have seen many failures within the South Sudan government. (Maturation requires learning from bad experiences.)  Problems are not going away immediately.

We see corruption. We see illiteracy.  We see intertribal conflict.

But we must also recognize that these problems have been given lucid attention during demanding times that offer restricted resources.

———————————-

And we ask: Will recent dismissals allow us to see new doors of opportunity, new pathways?

And we ask with great sincerity and earnestness that those that have been dismissed to reflect on how best they can serve the people of South Sudan.  Can (your) integrity (and expertise) be redeemed to discourage the tide of anarchy?  To discourage reversion to lawlessness and disorder.  To give hope to a nation of people that deserves valor and honor and respectability of moral leadership.

In times of disintegration of personal power this challenge requires the optimum of courage

Circumstances demand poise.

And circumstances demand law enforcement to be its very, very best.
