South Sudan: Two armies are meaningless unless there are two Governments also.
By David Aoloch Bion
Two armies are meaningless in the Republic of South Sudan under one Government unless there are two Governments also.
Therefore, SPLM/A IO should demand also for two governments, because it is meaningless to have two armies under one government. Two armies are incompatible with one government. it is meaningful when South Sudan has two armies, two governments, two presidents in Juba . This can make a sense.
Why is the SPLM/A is demanding two armies? . it is for security , may be , it is to safeguard its interest, may be , it is to declare an independence state after the end of 30 months interim period , may be
In the arguments above , two are invalid , one is valid . because , if peace is signed , no one will harm no one , for example , before CPA in 2005 , they said in Khartoum , John Garang would never step his feet here , however , John Garang stepped there after peace .
Riek Macahr left SPLM/A in 1991 , when he came back , Did anyone harm him ? Gabriel Tangigye fought three times in Malakal , when peace came , did anyone harm him ? Peter Gatdet fought South Sudan in 2010, when he came, did anyone harm him? David Yau Yau fought Government, when he came, did anyone harm him ? Peace is peace. No one can harm anyone after peace .
Unless the SPLM/A IO want an Independent country as South Sudan in 2005 , there is a need for separate two armies .
Two armies mean war is not yet over .
Thus , SPLM/A IO instead of demanding for two armies , they should also demand for two governments . This will justify their argument . Two armies under one government is an invalid argument ..
