His Excellency Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the Republic of South Sudan, Commander-in-Chief of Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) and Supreme Commander of all the Other Regular Forces, made the following Presidential Degrees to be effective immediately from today, Wednesday, 23 Sep. 2015:
1. Lt. Gen. Bior Ajang Duot (former SPLA Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations) is relived from his assignment as Undersecretary of Ministry of Defense & Veterans Affairs, and appointed as First Class Ambassador & Undersecretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation.
2. Lt. Gen. Bapiny Monytuil Wejang is appointed as Deputy Chief of General Staff for Moral Orientation in the SPLA (replacing Lt. Gen. Chol Thon Baluk – current Acting Governor of Upper Nile State).
3. Mr. James Gai Yoach is commissioned into the SPLA with the Rank of Lieutenant General (Lt. Gen.), and all forces under his command are to be organized and integrated into the SPLA with immediate effect.
H. E. the President also congratulated the South Sudanese Muslim Community on the occasion of “Eid Daheya”, the season of sacrifices. Reiterating his personal and his government’s commitment to the implementation of the recently signed compromise peace agreement, trusting that next year will be a year of peace and development in South Sudan.
