"We the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much, with so little, for so long, we are now qualified to do anything, with nothing" By Konstantin Josef Jireček, a Czech historian, diplomat and slavist.

Martyr of Righteousness

Finally

My resting day has come

Nightfall into my soul

Castles plunge into the river

From the sky I am in

From the clouds charming my spirit

Leading me to—heaven

…………

I refused to be held down

By my demons of fear

I have always pulled my head up

From the depth of the Nile

From the dust of their grave

Rising up again and…again

And hauled them with me

………….

I set out to be a martyr of righteousness

It is my calling—just ask

When my eyes are closed

When I am not breathing

When my hero has gone

And the storms are moving

To celebrate my birth
