10 years-old baby boy escaped from abductors after 11 days in the bush

May 1, 2016 (SSB)  —-  10 years-old child escaped from abductors after spending 11 days in the bush. Dau Akoi Jurkuch, Twic East County commissioner, speaking to PaanLuel Wël [SSB] on phone from Panyagoor he say that the 10-year-old baby boy that was abducted by suspected criminals to be Murle tribe men on 17th April, 2016 in Twic East county of Jonglei state.

The baby boy has return back after spending 11 days with abductors in the bush and he has manage to escape now he is being unite with his parents commissioner confirm. He say the child was abducted in Kongor Payam of Twic East county, Jonglei state now the child is receiving treatment at the hospital, Panyagoor Healthcare.

Actually there is a present of the insecurity in the areas of Twic East county, like this week the cattle owners who takes their cows for grazing they are complaining that when they go to water points they find cattle raiders mainly to steal their cattle’s so there is fear in the area; residents are living in fear and anxiety Jurkuch said.

This not the first time for Murle criminals to attack the villagers this been existing for several years; it’s the responsibility of the youths and organize forces to take retaliatory on Murle criminals tribe men and protect the innocent civilians in their villages, Jurkuch narrates.

On Monday April 18, 2016 one person wounded and 19 herds of cattle are looted in Jonglei state, Twic East County Twic East county commissioner, Dau Akoi Jurkuch told the daily Vision newspaper on phone from Twic East county headquarters, Panyagoor, that the Murle tribesmen looted 38 goats and 19 herds of cattle’s in Patiow Village of Twic East, Jonglei.

The youth of the area and organize forces pursue the cattle’s and the goats, now they have rescue 38 goats and 19 herds of cattle’s went away with the raiders up to now they are not recover he said.

He said when the youths exchange gunshot with the raiders unfortunately one of the youths was wounded and the gunshot does not affect his livelihood.

Commissioner says what show that these raiders are from Murle of Boma state is that one of them was killed and was identify to be from Murle because of the traditional marks and the two lower teeth’s were removed.

Jurkuch says he has order the youths and talk with others organize forces to protect all the water points in the areas and also the innocent civilians and their properties.

On Friday 24th March, 2016, 60 herds of cattle were raided in Twic East county of Jonglei state and Dau Akoi Jurkuch confirm it that suspected criminals to be from Likuangole of Boma state took the says number of herd of cattle’s.

During the raiding the feet step of the criminals were followed and they were heading toward Likuangole of Boma state Jurkuch said.

Jurkuch says the cattle’s disappear in Dong cattle camp on the said date and the youth try their best to get the cattle’s back but they were already been taken by criminals.

According to the commissioner he says the 60 herds of cattle’s were taken and no exchange of gunshot between cattle owners and the raiders.

They have terrorized Jonglei state they are everywhere people are not feeling free just because of them he stressed.

On Monday morning April 18, 2016 in south of Bor town the Murle tribe men from Boma state attack Thiu-Buor village and attempted to abduct two children and they were rescue unfortunately the uncle of the two abductees was killed.

Previously the Murle arm men have also been accused of attacks Nyin-Majok village mainly to steal cattle and attempted to abduct one boy but later was rescue.

On the same date The Murle arm men have also taken some 200 goats and five herds of cattle’s in northern part of Bor county; during the latest attack the attackers wounded four [4] people and one of them was kills.
