Robert Mugabe: The King Solomon of our Time.
By Kur Wel Kur, Adelaide, Australia.
November 30, 2016 (SSB) —- Wisdom is a God-given blessing to people who beg God for it. According to the Bible, those who resist the temptation of our materialistic world, those who turn away from precious stones, money and any other type of power, enjoy propagating their wisdom through their words. King Solomon of the Bible asked God for wisdom; so God told him:
“Since this is your heart’s desire and you have not asked for wealth, possessions or honour, nor for the death of your enemies, and since you have not asked for a long life but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people over whom I have made you king,12 therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I will also give you wealth, possessions and honor, such as no king who was before you ever had and none after you will have.”
So, Solomon became the greatest king because God gave him wisdom; and he solved many complicated cases, the famous being the case of two mothers over one infant. He wrote the Proverbs, Songs of the Songs, and Ecclesiastes; all are included in the Bible.
However, critics question the authenticity of these books being written by King Solomon himself; some theologians consider the portion of these wise words to have come from other writers who lived in the times of King Solomon. These theologians believe that King Solomon might had borrowed the best works of those writers and included them in his own works; or those best thinkers donated their best ideas to King Solomon in order for their works to enjoy the immortality, or for their ideas to float in eternity on this planet along with the King’s works
In the same fate, the today wise people with no platforms of their own tag their best or outrageous ideas with names of the famous people, people who are known for making unprecedented claims, claims that shake our conventional wisdom.I believe President R.G. Mugabe has centrally occupied King Solomon’s position. A lot of witty quotes, especially about girls and women, which flood the social sites must somehow contain the claims of others. I believe some people’s ideas are enjoying the free rides. But the most important aspect is that, readers or followers of President Mugabe are enjoying them because they (quotes) are intelligent and entertaining. President, Robert Gabriel Mugabe is inspiring millions of people through these intelligent quotes.
President Mugabe being the last standing fighter of imperialism has defeated the psychological war of the Europeans, which they waged through media. His intellectualism saved him in all turns and twists of the biased journalism.
President Mugabe is known as the most academic qualified president not only in our poorly portrayed continent, Africa, but also in the seven continents, if at all Antarctica harbours some permanent residents to have a president.President Mugabe earned seven degrees, eleven honorary doctorates, and other three honorary doctorates, which their respective universities revoked.
Revoked, why?
Since in the 90s, but heated in 2006, the world especially the Britain and other European countries with the USA denigrated President Mugabe because of his land reforms; and they also accused him of clinging to the power. They lobbied and campaigned to African Democratic countries to denounce President Mugabe. Public figures such as religious leaders in the likes of Desmond Tutu followed suit and conveyed messages, which blamed President Mugabe for the suffering of Zimbabweans.
After a man-made or a political-made recession in Zimbabwe, the European and the American politicians were comfortable to announce to the world particularly to Africa that President Mugabe was no longer a hero to his people in Zimbabwe and in Africa, but a dangerous dictator.
However, President Mugabe responded with this statement: Don’t listen to the imperialists because they want to bring back their imperialism back to Africa. As his years count up, the citizens of Zimbabwe will appreciate his gerontocracy because they will understand his wise words and his governance.
Moreover, the citizens of Africa and of the world enjoy his real and alleged quotes via media sites like Facebook. He has over 100 quotes, but the following are the 26 of his real quotes as compiled by Brainyquote.com:
“The only white man you can trust is a dead white man”.
“The white man is not indigenous to Africa. Africa is for Africans. Zimbabwe is for Zimbabweans”.
“Some people are contriving ways and means of making us collapse”.
“Our party must continue to strike fear in the heart of the white man, our real enemy!”
“It may be necessary to use methods other than constitutional ones”.
“Stay with us, please remain in this country and constitute a nation based on national unity”.
“We are no longer going to ask for the land, but we are going to take it without negotiating”.
“I have died many times. I have actually beaten Jesus Christ because he only died once”.
“So, Blair keep your England, and let me keep my Zimbabwe”.
“We don’t mind having sanctions banning us from Europe. We are not Europeans”.
“We are not hungry… Why foist this food upon us? We don’t want to be choked. We have enough”.
“There are things one must do for oneself”.
