January 17, 2017 (SSB) — The information secretary for the Jonglei Institute for Peace, Democracy and Development (JIPDD), Jongkuch Jo Jongkuch, said JIPDD has welcomed the reshuffling in the top management of central bank of south Soudan as well as the ministry of finance saying that it is a part of economic reforms in South Sudan.

Whatever changes that have been done by president Kiir in central Bank and finance ministry will restore hope to the people of South Sudan regarding economic crisis that hits the country more three years ago, Jongkuch narrate.

He said the humble citizens of South Sudan are hoping that one day market items shall drop but this never happen as they keeping hoping on the daily bases.

We are hoping that thing will never be the same again because incoming governor of central bank will work closely with the country top management to achieve the common goal said Jongkuch Jo, information secretary.

Jo urges the government of south Sudan to improve the security situation in the country so that in the coming rain season people can return home to cultivate since many of them cannot afford living in the town.

South Sudan is experiencing tough economic crisis with the local currency (SSP) losing 80% its value after it was floated against the United States dollar nearly 12 months ago.

Prices of the items have also surged in markets as government struggles to pay its staff.
