April 11, 2018 (SSB) — As many scholars and analyses made it clear about the genesis of South Sudan war many people still stranded and question themselves whether what we read was all the caused of South Sudan problem. In the process people continue to seek for the better answers many hidden root causes continue to reveal themselves

However, for today this discussion I am not interested in boring you with some of the issues you already had. My big concern is, what are rebels fighting for? This question will attract thousands pages different account, but whatever the case is let whoever interested in giving that answer come to the stage and explain to the people of South Sudan the real problem. Different level of understanding, perception, background and different experience lead to different ways of explaining the situation. There are so many South Sudanese who are not satisfied with some of the explanations that they were/ are told to be the root causes. A south Sudanese in the village who knows nothing about the governance would be very hard to convince him or her by simply saying Kiir must go without more explanation or concrete evidence to why Kiir must step down.

April 11, 2018 (SSB) — When Americans invaded Iraq in 2003 the minister of information was making noise that they were almost defeating Americans even when he was in hiding. He kept on giving the World information that Iraq was still capable even when Iraq had already fallen into the hands of Americans. He only kept quiet after he was caught. It was only after that the World realized that the man was just a noisy gong.

In respect to Mr Ateny Wek Ateny, he is just feeding the World with unfounded information and propaganda to show that the government under His Excellency President Kiir is effective and less corrupt. This is the reason why he is trying to look for a scapegoat to blame for corruption. Instead of admitting that the government is no longer capable of fighting corruption since it has completely failed, Ateny keeps on making noises like the minister of information in Iraq during the Americans invasion.

April 11, 2018 (SSB) — In a Juba press briefing on Tuesday April 10, 2018, Mr. Ateny Wek Ateny in a matter of bloviation leveled false allegations on General Paul Malong Awan. The document published by both Miraya Radio and Radio Tamazuj carried a number of false allegations ranging from corruption, mastery of impunity, international blacklisting and transactions in the central bank at night.

We disconfirm such false allegations and we urge the public to avoid listening to the falsehood by a leader that has deprived them of their basic necessities.  These allegations serve as manifestations of the fact that President Salva Kiir Mayardit through his spokesperson has been lying to South Sudanese incessantly. It is unfortunate that a man that has been ordering for the murder of his subjects through national security is shifting blames on the obvious.
