Ayuel Chan Madut: Dut-Machine’s machines are neither cracked nor noisy, rather the neighborhood imagines insecurity

By Peter Ngor Atem, Kenya

March 12, 2015 (SSB) –  It is not too long ago, three weeks to be precise, when the writer by the name of Ayuel Chan Madut decided to unleash scathing attack on the person and career of Dut-Machine Mabior. He repeatedly and notoriously questioned the applicability of electrical and electronic engineering prowess in issues centered on analytic writing. He threw salvos and utter rants on the writer questioning his wisdom pertaining contemporary issues in the Republic of South Sudan. This genuinely stunned many literary bystanders.

I was particularly badly sickened by that unwarranted and uncalled for attack. It brought into jeopardy the efficacy of principles of literature, chief among them being paramount principle of literature which dictates that ‘writers write about people and things, but not against people and things”. The question begs: do people read literature and referenced literary works? When Prof. Taban Lo Liyong and Prof. Ngugi wa Thiong’o outsmart themselves in academic fiascos, it is purely on inclinations and grasp of issues and not careers and personalities.

For the starters, the arguments played out in the article entitled “Dut-Machine de Mabior: Who will stop the noisy Machine of Kenyatta University…? After my analysis from their analysis, I wholesomely concluded that Ayuel Chan Madut is way off the hooks. He has clearly depicted intellectual lethargy and analytical anaemia in his response to Dut-Machine. I deem it worth the note not to allow Molana Malueth to go unchallenged. And here, I hold brief for Innocent Dut-Machine.

To refresh readers’ memory, stunningly though, I didn’t know the brain behind Dut-Machine’s stinking attack was Ayuel Chan Madut aka Malueth. It was stunning because the first three SSSAK’s meetings I have ever attended, he prolifically speaks to my heart. His mastery of English language and voice projection are attractive to people’s attention. His upright exposure, body language and demeanor when speaking make him fit among the creme de la creme in the pipeline. His articulation of issues, soft-spokenness and moderate discretion in addressing dissenting opinions place him way above many others.

He was in my opinion more equal than many dissenting debaters in those SSSAK’s meetings. He towers them in terms of demonstration of knowledge and debating issues dear to students’ hearts. It says to me that South Sudan has, among others, an electrifying debater in future. And since, I am too big to be Malueth now and later, i have always wanted my youngsters to be him .

However, when I got schooled that he was indeed the manufacturer of the attack, I got tongue-tied. “Kumbe! He was a wolf in a sheep’s skin!” I meditated. I was in utter disbelief! I practically died .I died many deaths. I died because Mr. Malueth’s vulgar language proves wrong the high opinion I used to hold for him and his career.Unless he makes a drastic about-turn,his reputation is at stake!

Molana Malueth proved beyond any tinge of doubt that he’s purely a noisemaker. He’s that boy in class who routinely murmurs, shouts and giggles in such a time when serious boys are discussing computational mysteries. He does it in the pretext that he’s not easily noticeable from virtually noisy and charged classroom. Such breeds of boys are too quick in cleverly passing buck which may be taken as a gospel truth by the hungry and angry teachers.

This description resonates well with Molana Malueth Ayuel Chan Madut. It explains how he absolves himself of any mistakes and blames it all on the person of Dut-Machine Mabior of KU.

Molana Malueth, people are seduced by your writing to know the drive and the motivation; Mention; your paymaster too. They are asking because your articles are seemingly two-fold, Sir. They are either bent towards erroneously protecting your community in Nairobi or aimed to stand in the way of the people who try to exercise their constitutionally provided right of constructively criticizing the government. Are you a pen for hire; fully paid by the government to write off (tell off) its dissidents?

Are you a self-acclaimed tribal mouthpiece tasked with barking at anyone who mentions the great name of Dinka of Bhar el Ghazal region? My worthy senior in the legal profession must sufficiently know that anybody is entitled to their opinions. Any sentiments, feelings and all forms of expressions providing they don’t infringe on any provisions of any written law are legally allowed to be made.

When Dut-Machine mentioned something on the need for the government to sacrifice in the interest of peace, you rushed and hysterically squalled at him. You failed to appreciate the fact that the title of your previous article, to which Dut-Machine reacted, was a hot potato itself.

Dr. Riek Machar: Wani Igga isn’t your toilet tissue .This topic, when analyzed with sober minds, is telling. It generated more heat than light in the die-hard supporters of Dr. Riek on one side and H.E Wani and Co. on other side. I know you know, after any war, political appeasement follows. And for this to happen; the incumbent government must be compelled in interest of peace to compromise. So, H.E Kiir’s government compromised just like others did: notably Kiir Mayardit vs David Yau Yau (GPAA), Kibaki vs Raila etc.

Why do you equate H.E Gen. Kiir Mayardit’s well-meant offer of H.E Wani as a sacrificial lamb at the altar of peace with Tissue Paper? No matter whom you pledge allegiance to,peace surpasses all. Peace is more important than individuals’ political ambition. Leaders should at any rate do what favors peace. Therefore, it is immaterial who loses where.

Bro Malueth, another bone of contention in your previous article was the “we” factor. The opposite of ‘we’ is ‘they’. There must be ‘they’ when we belabour the word in issue. In as much as I believe in petitioning of elected leaders, it serves badly when done on regional line. It is intuitively plausible to do it at individual levels. “We the Bhar El Ghazal Youth” are calling on H.E Kiir not to remove H.E Wani Igga from his 1st Vice President position.

This indeed is humorous! If we resort to petitioning leaders who come from our region to rubber-stamp our demands, what about others whose leaders aren’t anywhere near the kitchen of political power?! What will become of communities who are in political cold? Are we not reducing ourselves to ‘Gel-Ku-Benyda -Youth’ whose future will be bleak tomorrow when the so called “benyda” is no longer at the helm of power?

Regionalizing everything can help in galvanizing the Great Republic of South Sudan. This fragmentation can further degenerate to tribe, clan, sub-clan and finally families. At long last, we won’t have a nation but a collection of families. For example, visualize the scenario where the Bari community petition H.E President Kiir not to remove their son, Hon. Aggrey Tisa Sabuni, from Finance docket or else they turn their guns against the government.

It is a bad scene, isn’t it? Similarly; Agaar community is petitioning government to reinstate Hon.Eng. Chol Tong Mayai in his gubernatorial position! These petitions, petitions and petitions serve no national good.

In a nutshell, it is a high time we disabuse ourselves of this ‘generality syndrome’ or else we risk putting our necks in the political guillotine.

Not too long ago, one Mr. David Aoloch unnecessarily referred to Dinka of Bhar El Ghazal region as ‘lawless’ and ‘loose’. The statement was at best entertained as unwarranted, uncalled for and at worst careless and hate-laced. We condemned it in unison. I mean the entire readership. Instead of rebuking him singly, you ran amok on Dinka of former Bor District (Bor, Twic, Nyarweng and Hol).

You unnecessarily dragged the great name of Bor community into dirty waters. You committed the same felony as him, that of ethnic incitement, hatred. Most disgustingly, you expressly called the people of Bor District as ‘food-lovers’ and ‘cowards’ whose wars are fought by Dinka of Bhar El Ghazal.

Seriously; what were you smoking, Molana? Marijuana, in your case, is an understatement! What wisdom visited upon you when writing such a derogatory, defamatory, inflammatory and provocative article? Aren’t you alive to the fact that two wrongs cannot make a right?? It is both illegal and immoral to insult the community such as Bor at wholesale.

My sub-conscious informs me someone somewhere is dragging the community in fighting his imagined or real enemies. Someone somewhere is abusing the leadership position vested upon him by noble, worthy Dinka of Bhar El Ghazal region.

Mr. Malueth, your assertion that Machine’s machines are cracking and noisy,or in simple tongue,Machine did a mistake in mixing electronic wires is not only a misplaced slur but also a clear demonstration of ignorance. I unwittingly thought it was meant to create a humour, a comic relief. Conversely, you wrote it to make Dut-Machine feel inferior, greenhorn in political thingy.

For your information, wires are not electronic, but electrical, and that’s why they conduct electricity. This is a street knowledge I thought you were taught in your High School. On top of that,I am yet to learn from you that engineers are neither analytical nor good politicians.

Come on! Have you seen in Kenya who is monopolizing political scene? The guy whose stardom is ever glowing? I mean Raila Amolo Odinga, a mechanical engineer from a German University.

Comparatively, Dr. Lam Akol and Dr. Riek Machar of South Sudan are major headliners in South Sudanese political arena. Are they not engineers, Molana Malueth? It is a fact that you can’t afford to take to the dogs.I know you know that Dut-Machine is an analyst who, in his writings, can bring an immense change in sociopolitical issues in South Sudan particularly among online readers and writers.

Because of reason known to you,you tried to water down his literary popularity. Your work was well contrived to demoralize and derails him in his literary work. By God’s grace, Dut-Machine has a thick skin to cushion him from all kinds of thorns.

Molana Malueth, another enquiry pertains to your university studies, the last day I heard you speak; you were in Inoorero University which has been shut down and its Parklands structures fully leased to MKU, School of Law. I am also sufficiently armed with the information indeed the books and the students were equally sold to MKU, SOL. Confirm it. The information is subject to your approval or disapproval. Forgive me if at all it exists on Skype.

Before I forget, you also mentioned KCA University in a General Assembly Meeting of the SSSAK.And most notably, as you undersigned your article, you were very quick to mention that you are also in Oginga Odinga University and CILEX, which undeniably are reputable institutions of learning in Kenya. Which is which? “Noisy is Dut-machine of KU”. “So, where do we refer u to,sir?” Students ask. A CILEX or Oginga Odinga or KCA or non-existing Inoorero or self-blessed student of Nairobi Town!

Eeeei, I am totally chilled to the bone marrow! How do you go about your studies in these institutions given that they’re situated in different far-flanked areas in Nairobi City, Molana? It is only an angle or a devil that can be that mobile! It is practically humanly impossible to traverse big city as Nairobi. A better explanation would content all and sundry in regard to these too many campuses you frequent.

If what you said can be taken as a gospel truth, then, it won’t need a rocket-scientist to note that commuting from KCA University a long Thika Superhighway to CILEX and Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology in town and to Inoorero University in Parklands can cause a noise in the head. It also needs not me to see an expert of noise in the city to infer you’re suffering from your own noise (personal insecurity). That is your self-induced noise Sir.

The constant noise deeply embedded in your head due to frequent travels around the city is the cause of your “reprimand-others-writings”. This is not scientific inference, but the fact remains that you’re a noisemaker.Summarily, this chronic noise in your ears makes you feel that Dut-Machine is making noise in his Electrical Engineering class while indeed he is making sense to his readership.

I am possessed with the knowledge that multi-tasking people, you included, are badly temperamental, and this is due to heavy workload. They’re too fast to blame their mistakes on others. In the same logic, your multiple classes that you attend could potentially cause noise you are hard-pressed to blame on Machine’s machines.

Notwithstanding, I hold no grudges nor ill-feelings against you bro Malueth. This is just an academic fiasco on national issues. Don’t take it personal! We need peace among ourselves and by extension in South Sudan. In disregard of the wedge being drawn among us by our self-serving leaders, let’s stand united as South Sudanese.

As Jimi Hendrix put it, ‘when the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace’. Let’s love and embrace ourselves as South Sudanese in disregard to power struggle and the peace will follow our way.

This morning, I prescribe to South Sudanese that biblical love advocated for by St. Paul in his Letter to Corinthians. United South Sudan Oyee! Peace oyee!
