In Jonglei state, all counties are equal but some are more equal than others (Part 7)

Duk’s representatives were deadly angered for realizing that they have had a bad choice to bring their complaint to be solved by the same people whom they are accusing.

March 24, 2016 (SSB)  —-  The meeting was a great step by Gen. Kuol Manyang. Had it not been manipulated, I believe Duk’s representatives would have left the hall happy. They had a complete trust on Kuoldit for always standing on the side of truth.

Yes, Kuoldit is synonymous to truth when it comes to National arena, they have never seen Kuoldit acting on a clannish arena but they have seen what they didn’t know now. Bad experience of today is the wisdom for tomorrow.

Selfish interest of others against you sharpens your tongue to guard what belongs to you and bring back yours that has been taken away. Good example to your subjects makes you a hero and it also increases your penchant of helping others.

Life is only one, only days are many and so you can do what is necessary in these many days God has given you, this is no time to close your eyes to these clear facts of which I am already appreciating your roles for staying all eyes opened.

Selfish interest of Twic and Bor County is not bad at all because it makes you to revisit who you are and fight for self-control as well

He who thinks he is leading and no one is following him is only taking a walk; this is for the betrayers of Duk County who are becoming tails of Aguer Panyang for having been promised a place in the cabinet. There will be a day they will realize that there are few people dying of hunger these days compared to mistreatment. Only being given a handful to betray your land and we call that patriotism!

‘This world we lived is our class, we humans are the students, and God is the teacher. And our problems are the questions. Anytime God give us questions and we fail them he simply tells us to do correction or repeat the class. And if we pass them (the questions), he promotes us to another tougher level and provide you with more tough questions – this is what we call learning’, Kon Joseph’s word.

At first, it was a county, then this one now and may be more than this awaits. It is absolutely our right to give up the fight and led ourselves down if that is what we prefer.

What spoiled the meeting and affected the honest resolution were;

  • Atem Garang’s suggestion of liberation council’s resolution
  • Kuol’s acceptance to Atem’s suggestion
  • Deng’tiel’s distribution of four seats to Duk, six to Twic and 11 to Bor County, which almost the whole house supported
  • Michael Makuei’s members who entered without Gen. Kuol Manyang’s knowledge
  • Twic East’s too much silence
  • And the collaboration or manipulation of Chol’amot and his cousin, Gabriel Alak Garang

The resolution by the majority wouldn’t have been bad if there was no conspiracy going on

The recaps of it all from Genesis to revelation

  • According to the decree, all the states were give 21 MP seats (all combined with the previous seats) each including Terekeka, Twic and Gok state
  • With the help of Aguer’s community based approach, Bor County MPs, with their big population in the parliament made a proposal of how to distribute the seats and therefore gave Duk 3, Twic 6, and Bor 12 which Duk refused
  • Duk County complained
  • Kuoldit intervened because political approach by the Parliamentarians together with Aguer’s approach of Community base had failed altogether.
  • At his capacity as a chairperson of SPLM in Jonglei, Kuoldit failed again to provide the solution himself and instead thought of community based approach of Aguer which had previously failed.
  • In the meeting, Kuoldit talked of the resolution that needed us (Duk, Twic and Bor) all. (That is now the community based approach)
  • Atem overthrew Aguer’s approach again with the political approach of liberation council which political approach had also failed in Bor. It was because of the failure of Aguer and political approach that Kuoldit intervened then
  • And in the process of liberation council resolution which Atem proposed, disagreement ensured again due to manipulation and intimidation

The next article will focus on how Duk County has betrayed itself. How some of its members (about 0.3-6%) have sided with Bor County and Twic East to the disadvantage of Duk simply because they are going to benefit in Aguer’s cabinet.

A statement like, ‘I will betray Duk, I will kill it and I will destroy it’ was said by our own brother, a word of which its equivalent can’t be said by even by these brothers of ours who are taking away our things for I know very well that we can only disagree and argue as brothers but we cannot kill or destroy ourselves as said by a member from Duk.

The article will generally focus on Duk County betrayers. It will include what has been said by who, and where……
